As you all know my baby sister goes to UVA in a beautiful part of Virginia: Charlottesville. It is a great little town that has become quite the destination for quaint little shops, awesome restaurants, and as always a beautiful college landscapes. One of my goals while she is in school is to visit at least once a semester. After Dan and my first fall visit in 2016 and last spring sisters’ visit – this fall I crashed my parents visit.

This is Bridget’s first year living off campus and I finally got a chance to see it. Super cute (compared to my college townhouse with dingy carpets…) with beautiful hardwood floors and crown molding, but I think my favorite part would have to be the Flaherty yellow couch!! This thing was in my grandparent’s basement forever (my dad slept on pre-marrige at one point) and a fixture in our childhood memories. Now it has made its way to the college life and with a feature of easy wipe downs plus a bright color, I would say it has found its calling!

After a quick tour Mom gave us our treats – UVA colored accessories for the football game the next day. Sorry to admit to my Cavalier fans I don’t have a lot of blue and orange in my closet….. but thanks to Mom’s gift skills and Charming Charlies (LOVE THOSE STORES) we would be all set for day two!

Finally we ended the night with a beautiful dinner at the downtown mall where it was comfortable enough to sit outside, sip our wine, watch the world go by and await a delicious pasta dinner. It was a fun night with Mom, Dad and their 14 year a part twins.

The next day we all got ready for a fall football game…. in the VA heat. That would be my only complaint of this visit – it was hot! Even still we preserved to attend Bridget’s sorority tailgate…..

And eventually made our way to the game. Where I caught up with a few of my favorite Wahoos…. Ryan and Megan….

We enjoyed football snacks and a little tanning in the sun, until it was quitting time and we found our way to the Starbucks on the corner for an iced latte! I guess I must have been having a good time because that seems to be where my pictures stopped – oops!

It has been fun to be a part of Bridget’s world at school and she really could not have picked a more scenic place. A great little fall getaway between hosting my sister’s bridal shower and what will be up next… Danny’s party!
Thank you so much for reading (my much delayed write up) and remember to make a great day!
