These Are A Few of My Favorite Things: Fall at Old Navy

One of my favorite things about being a blog follower is how the experience goes from just following along to eventually feeling like you are taking advice from a friend. As a result of my love for blogs, I have purchased clothes, tried hair styles, decorated mantles, read books, organized my office, discovered health tricks, and become inspired in countless ways! Reading about a solution that an everyday person, just like me, finds enriching to their lives has been really helpful – so here on HALF I thought I would get in on the info sharing action and include a weekly favorites post!  Each week I will share one of my favorites things! The topic areas will range from favorite clothes to organizing solutions even some health tricks. Really anything that we just can’t live without – or would really not want to – at the Bessette home and maybe you can find something you love too!

We have been experiencing cooler than normal temperatures and darker days – normally an unwelcome sight as the final days of summer drift away – but this year instead it has served as a exciting reminder of the quickly approaching fall. As all the pumpkin spice flavors are popping up every where we look – the anticipation for a change in fashion has quickly followed suit. As you all know I am not a fashion blogger (you’re welcome) and according to my sisters not the most fashionable person you will ever meet – but I really love getting ready purposely for the day and celebrating the fun parts of each season. SOOOO with fall back I am checking out all my favs shopping spots for those perfect layering pieces, pretty darker colors, and of course ALL THE BOOTS!  Right before Chicago I grabbed a few things to get me excited about Fall, that are also good pieces to ride out the end of the summer temperatures. Ya’ll – I LOVE them… so Friday favorite is enjoying fall at Old Navy!

First up – the jersey-knit sleeveless swing dress. Ya’ll it is the PERFECT dress for going into fall. It is light weight, won’t wrinkle, very soft,  and that swing dress provides a very flattering cut. For those sunny fall days that end up being a little warmer it is cute totally on its own, but then as the weather changes you can throw on a sweater or chambray shirt and it looks really cute too! It was a great buy that I know will get a ton of wear (don’t judge me too much if its on repeat!!).

Next Up is the French terry tunic sweatshirt. Another fun piece that I feel like can be great for lazy Sunday naps on the couch – but also with leggings, cute flats and a pop of color underneath would be fun for a weekend or even casual Friday look. By the mere fact that I don’t have any pictures in it because I lived in it all ear ache recovery weekend means it is a winner. My only caution is that Old Navy can sometimes have thinner fabrics, thus I tend to size up – but this one is pretty boxy and long, so don’t feel like you have to go too large to get that perfect tunic feel. And I will say it has a nice structure, but isn’t very thick – so you feel cozy but not hot or weighted down.
Finally is the luxe long and lean striped tunic. This is the one I have not worn quite yet…. but I have big plans for it! Again it is a solid material – doesn’t feel see through or cheap – but its not heavy or too fitted so you won’t feel bunchy. This is key for those laying pieces and it will certainly be making an appearance under my green jacket collection LINK! I love tunics that have cute side cut outs – so it won’t get plastered to your bum or stick up around your mid section when you add your favorite cozy leggings. This could be another repeat and maybe even repeat buy in other color.
So there you have it friends – a few of my favorite pieces that are still at an awesome price point this weekend. So if you are in need of a few solid pieces to add to your fall wardrobe, but can’t stray too far from the budget I highly recommend these three! Oh and if you are as into chambray as this gal – check out this cute dress. Laura has been talking pretty non-stop about it – so I am thinking I may need to sneak this one into the house too! Old Navy I am coming back!

Thank you all so much for reading and remember to make it a great day!
Jackie
