One of my favorite things about being a blog follower is how the experience goes from just following along to eventually feeling like you are taking advice from a friend. As a result of my love for blogs, I have purchased clothes, tried hair styles, decorated mantles, read books, organized my office, discovered health tricks, and become inspired in countless ways! Reading about a solution that an everyday person, just like me, finds enriching to their lives has been really helpful – so here on HALF I thought I would get in on the info sharing action and include a weekly favorites post! Each week I will share one of my favorites things! The topic areas will range from favorite clothes to organizing solutions even some health tricks. Really anything that we just can’t live without – or would really not want to – at the Bessette home and maybe you can find something you love too!

November 2016
Well its official…. school is back in session! Yes can you even believe it? As we drove back to our neighborhood today (odd timing and together due to doctor stuff) we passed the school parking lots full and buses parked out in front – we are into a new school year. As you know for us planner and supply people this is the BEST time of the year!! All the notebooks and wipe off boards and cool pens and pencils are everywhere you look. I have fellow a bestie who loves new school supplies and this time of year and we always reference this commercial. So today’s favorite thing is learning!
The world we live in today gives us so many amazing resources to learn anytime, anywhere, and from even your phone! Isn’t that amazing? As a person that really loves to learn this is one of my favorite things about the internet. So today I am sharing a few of my favorite online resources for learning.
Taking a class
There are no shortage of a million online classes you can take through a university, an online portal – or the one I am sharing today, a blogger! When first starting up my blog I often looked to Jones Design Company for inspiration, so when she offered a class on starting a blog I was all in! The flexibility of logging in from my own computer at any time from anywhere was a huge advantage and then to be able to go back and refer to a lesson or even take it again was really helpful. Emily also offered a variety of downloads and printable that I still enjoy today. Currently she is not offering a blogging class, but has quite a few options of other classes you can enjoy from design to penmanship! If this back to school season has you itching to learn, take a look!
Podcast
In my world I have a full time job that I enjoy and has afforded my family a very lovely life, but I have hopes of a few different professional goals (the blog, speaking, writing a book) as well. The reality is those goals are still at the stage of being achieved during off hours, which can be pretty tiring and sometimes you feel a little lost. So I have enjoyed podcasts to and from work or when I might be doing some data entry at the office, or maybe folding laundry to keep myself motivated, inspired and the juices flowing. It is amazing how listen to others share the methods for their madness of chasing dreams helps me think of my own process in a new way or gives me that extra boost of energy to eek out a little more writing before bed. A few of my favorites for learning are Rise and Gold Digger. So if you have a few goals that you hope to achieve in the wee hours of the night or during the rise of the sun – check these out!
Pinterest
Finally I can’t talk about online learning without second most utilized resource besides Google- Pinterest! If you are looking for downloads, printable, or helpful blog posts on topics that you are hoping to learn more about I can’t begin to say enough awesome things about Pinterest. The resources are plentiful and I have found many new tools or bloggers that address the exact questions I have after just a few strokes of the computer keys! So got a question on how to learn something …. get yourself over to Pinterest today!
Happy back to school season friends! Just because we all may not be technically enrolled in school – don’t limit your curiosity or learning because the options are pretty endless without even leaving home!
Thank you so much for reading and remember to make it a great day!
