These are a Few of My Favorite Things – Perfect T-shirt

One of my favorite things about being a blog follower is how the experience goes from just following along to eventually feeling like you are taking advice from a friend. As a result of my love for blogs, I have purchased clothes, tried hair styles, decorated mantles, read books, organized my office, discovered health tricks, and become inspired in countless ways! Reading about a solution that an everyday person, just like me, finds enriching to their lives has been really helpful – so here on HALF I thought I would get in on the info sharing action and include a weekly favorites post!  Each week I will share one of my favorites things! The topic areas will range from favorite clothes to organizing solutions even some health tricks. Really anything that we just can’t live without – or would really not want to – at the Bessette home and maybe you can find something you love too!

Happy Friday friends! Hope you are enjoying a great end to the week and looking forward to a nice weekend. Danny has hockey camp this weekend (the first signs of fall in our world) and so Quinlan and I are packing up and for a slumber party in Charlottesville with my some of my family. But before we get away for a bit, wanted to share a favorite that is a new find and – ready or not – a great option as we think of fall. Yes, I know ….how can it be? But today as I drove back from lunch the local elementary school had folks getting the grounds ready and the trees were just starting to have more colorful leaves – it felt like yes, it really is coming! And although I love summer – fall is really awesome around here! Plus I love an excuse to think of new fun looks. So today’s Friday Favorite is some new t-shirts from Urban Outfitters.

A few weeks back blogger, Lauren Loves, was talking about these new shirts she saw hanging in Urban Outfitters (in Charlottesville in fact!) and without even trying it on, she grabbed one and took it home. The shape, length, color all looked good so she went for it. Once home she tried them on and LOVED them, quickly ordering more. About 10 years ago at The Limited I found a great stripped long t-shirt that I have worn plum out! I still have it for layering some – but the hole in the back has disrupted its multiple use weekly. The fit was good, the material nice but it was the length that I loved. I could wear it with all sorts of pants or leggings and it really complimented my shape (covered the right parts for those legging days) that I found myself wearing it all the time and all year long. Since then I have tried a few other options, but nothing I loved quite like that one. Watching Lauren talk about these shirts and show the “perfect” length with extra little bit in the rear, I got my hopes up that I had finally found the replacement!

Well friends, it was a win! Only two weeks of ownership and I have worn them both multiple times. Of course did I take a picture in them? No…. I have shared the pictures here from the store and will try and put a note on stories next time I have one on. With white jeans or my leggings they have been perfect for summer, but I also have big plans of cardigan pairings come fall and multi layers in the winter. The really luck part was Lauren happened to share them when they were also on big time sale (I think $7 each).  Needless to say a win!

But I also have good news for you guys – they are still on somewhat sale for $19, normally $28. So if you are looking for a good staple to see you through a few seasons check them out here. And if you all know of any good length tops that will really hold up, let me know! I have found these – but always open to back ups. Happy weekend!

Thanks so much for reading and remember to make it a great day!
Jackie
