A Thanksgiving Wedding

We are continuing to reflect back on the holidays of this past year before it is time to start all over again ….. and this week we are talking Thanksgiving. It was such a wonderful holiday in 2017 with all my family home for a whole week – we had just a lot of fun together. Especially kicking off with my cousin Mickey and his beautiful bride, Brittany’s wedding day!

Getting married dead smack in the middle of July – you know I am summer gal. But between Brittany and my sister Katy’s late fall/winter weddings…. I am starting to regret that season choice! This wedding was gorgeous. Every little touch was thoughtful and they took the ever so popular “shabby chic” theme and instead of being trendy, it was really personal to them as a couple, the people in their lives, and just felt so cozy!! I am not sure how you mix elegant and relaxed – but they knocked it out of the park! Her dress was so unbelievably gorgeous…. yet the food felt like a familiar Sunday night dinner at the family table. It was the perfect Thanksgiving feel for a wedding and week meant to celebrate blessings and loved ones.

But even more importantly than the wedding day, you can tell they are a couple that was just so excited to be starting their life married! They are two of the most kind hearted and genuine people who you rarely catch without a smile. Which is the best kind of wedding to attend – of really happy people…. but then to be with a couple who knows this is only the beginning and are just thrilled to be walking into the next stage- you could feel the love everywhere!
