Happy Friday friends…. Wahoo- we made it! And in addition to looking forward to a few days with our families and enjoying fall…. it’s time for another Friday Favorite! Today I am sharing a recipe that we just can’t quit at our house. Yes, a receipe- I know, I know…. who am I?? Cooking is not my thing… plus I married a guy who loves it… but every once in awhile you will find me in the kitchen. Ever since Dan went back to work and we are trying to eat healthier at home – it’s a all hands on deck effort….even me. So I have been trying to make it fun by taking the cravings we have and find a better alternative. So let me introduce you to: pita pizza!
This is a reciepe that I found of course on Pinterest. After looking at a few different options, this is the version with ingredients and instructions that all seemed straightforward. One evening we tried it with just the veggies as an appetizer and realized this was definetly a keeper! And since then it is pretty much in rotation weekly.
We love this dinner so much because it is easy (chopping is the only time consuming part and if you are quick like Danny it can go pretty fast) and you can alter depending on your mood. We might add veggies or pepperoni and often chicken if we have some left over on hand. And maybe best of all, it meets that pizza desire (cheese and you eat with your hands) without all the added grease!
Thank you Valentina’s Corner for such an easy and tasty dinner! If your looking for a taste of Italian – check it out. We encourage the adding of basalmic for dipping and a glass of red wine for extra flavor. And if you are going to try this dinner out – I would encourage you to a make extra, because heated in the toaster oven later is just as good.
Thank you so much for reading and remember to make it a great day!
