One of my favorite things about being a blog follower is how the experience goes from just following along to eventually feeling like you are taking advice from a friend. As a result of my love for blogs, I have purchased clothes, tried hair styles, decorated mantles, read books, organized my office, discovered health tricks, and become inspired in countless ways! Reading about a solution that an everyday person, just like me, finds enriching to their lives has been really helpful – so here on HALF I thought I would get in on the info sharing action and include a weekly favorites post! Each week I will share one of my favorites things! The topic areas will range from favorite clothes to organizing solutions even some health tricks. Really anything that we just can’t live without – or would really not want to – at the Bessette home and maybe you can find something you love too!
Ahhhh happy summer Friday guys!! Got some fun plans- at the pool or for a cook out? Maybe your traveling to vacation…. whatever your up to if your like us, including your favorite music is a must! And I have a confession- I can spend some money on music! Both Danny and I have always been music folks – when we started dating both our cars had quite the CD collection (yup- CDs, remember those kids?? Dan’s disc man was played through a tape in his old Explorer)…. and when the apple products came out I had to be super carefull about my spending…. iTunes was my jam! And really for us, nothing beats driving in the summer with sunroof open and music blaring! So how do you enjoy alllll the music and not run up your Apple bill?? SPOTIFY!
So Danny and my sister Bridget have been Spotify fans for years. Me? Heck no…. I am an Apple girl! So I avoided it for awhile. But when buying that song started to really get out of hand – Dan got us a package. For $15 a month we get unlimited music for a household (4 users) and I was locked in to trying it. Whelp it took all of a few days and I was sold!!
Besides ease and saving me money – I love Spotify for two very specific reasons. First, it saves space on my phone. The app is here and I have access to my music, but it doesn’t have to save it on my phone… HUGE! Last August my (old) iPhone was really struggling and one of the things was too much music on it. Solution – my Spotify allows me to access all this music without it having to download onto my phone (unless you want to like for a flight etc). Second I can make playlists for everything! I have one for worship, one for working out, and maybe my favorite – when I like a playlist of Dan’s he can share it! Spotify has been my music solution and I LOVE it!
If you want to give it a try- download the app or you can try it through the website. And there is a free version- it just requires you listen to ads and you only skip songs so many times…. but you will get a feel for it for sure! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
