Hey gang! Hope you aren’t too tried out of weddings yet…. we got the last one (for now 😃 ) coming your way today….my cousin Brendan and his lovely bride Lauren! This cute couple’s wedding was all country and a ton of fun. As you will see it was held in the middle of summertime in the DC area, so we were a teeny tiny bit hot. But no one really seemed to mind since the drinks were flowing and the dance floor was hopping.
This wedding was incredibly special because it is the last time all of the Flaherty family have been together since my cousin Jaclyn’s wedding 12 years ago – almost to the day! We were only missing my beloved grandfather then and this wedding we were only missing him and one of my cousins from Milwaukee. For 1 grandmother, 6 kids, 8 in-laws, 23 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren…. that is pretty darn good! And I found this one to be especially beautiful since Brendan’s bride not only joined the family this year, but also became Catholic. Our faith is what roots us all to our heritage and to our future…. for her to want to be completely part of our family in that way is an exceptionally special gift.
So on this magical day in June we toasted to the cowboy and his lovely cowgirl ….. who since the wedding have moved South to call Tennessee home! Congratulations Lauren and Brendan and thank you for a fun day for the Flaherty family!
Here are just a few snap shots…… big eyed emoji….sorry folks, I brought the real camera this time!
Thank you so much for reading and remember to make it a great day!
