Have A Little Faith in We

One of my favorite things about being a blog follower is how the experience goes from just following along to eventually feeling like you are taking advice from a friend. As a result of my love for blogs, I have purchased clothes, tried hair styles, decorated mantles, read books, organized my office, discovered health tricks, and become inspired in countless ways! Reading about a solution that an everyday person, just like me, finds enriching to their lives has been really helpful – so here on HALF I thought I would get in on the info sharing action and include a weekly favorites post!  Each week I will share one of my favorites things! The topic areas will range from favorite clothes to organizing solutions to health tricks. Really anything that I feel we just can’t live without – or would really not want to – at the Bessette home and maybe you can find something you love too!

Well friends… it’s June!!! Officially time to break out the summer wardrobe and today I am sharing one of my staples: my salmon/pink/reddish Loft pants! Anyone else open their closet at the beginning of a new season and although stuffed with clothes, you feel like you aren’t ready? I know – it is ridiculous…. but sometimes it results in a panic buy that ends up being a perfect fit! Exhibit A…. my pinky pants!!

Last spring/summer I was feeling like my pants game was not strong! It was the same looks year after year and I needed some color to change it up! I found these pants on a clearance rack and thought- “what the hey! I will give them a whirl….” Well they were perfect…. on a skinny day… on a bloated day… on a hospital day that was supposed to be a few hour visit that turned into 2 days- they were the perfect fit! It’s like the pants from that book that travel to all girls of different size and shape and yet they were the right size! Something about them just seemed to work!

And then one tragic day there was a laundry accident!!!  Yes – I added color bleach when I wasn’t supposed to….. yes my colorful, warm weather pants turned acid wash style. And although, these pants made me feel cool- I was not that cool. Just like that the pants were gone….But before they were gone from my wardrobe… they left a hole that just had to be filled!!

So this year I purchased these to fill the void. These are a little nicer than my first version (those had a jeans like style, while these are more of a chino) and so far I love that I can dress them up with wedges and a blouse for work or throw on sandals and t-shirt for bumming around our neighborhood. Sadly though, they don’t seem to hold their shape the same as the last magic pants. But so far, the good out weighs the bad and their versatility has taken what was a small crush to full on dating…. so you can expect to see these puppies a lot this summer!!

If you are looking to brush up the options in your closet or maybe add a fun piece that brings that pop of color to a variety of looks… I would say check these out! The Loft is always a nice option with their variety of sales and coupons. Plus I find its classic style does last well from year to year. A cool, trendy piece is fun – but won’t always be a reliable staple on your list of looks. I have many a Loft purchase that have lasted through the years. Happy Shopping!!
