One of my favorite things about being a blog follower is how the experience goes from just following along to eventually feeling like you are taking advice from a friend. As a result of my love for blogs, I have purchased clothes, tried hair styles, decorated mantles, read books, organized my office, discovered health tricks, and become inspired in countless ways! Reading about a solution that an everyday person, just like me, finds enriching to their lives has been really helpful – so here on HALF I thought I would get in on the info sharing action and include a weekly favorites post! Each week I will share one of my favorites things! The topic areas will range from favorite clothes to organizing solutions to health tricks. Really anything that I feel we just can’t live without – or would really not want to – at the Bessette home and maybe you can find something you love too!
Tonight’s favorite are my Audrey Brooke Kristin Ballet Flats. I love these shoes! They are comfortable, go with everything, can be dressed up, can be dressed down, and offer a certain look -without the certain price! Yes I am of course referring to the oh so famous Tory Burch Flats. That’s right I can admit it – I am a spoiled girl who loves the look of ridiculous priced shoes and many years on the metro or lunch breaks when working in the city were passed wondering how that individual afforded those shoes. Before I even really recognized the brand though, I did appreciate the shoes really simple and elegant look, which would make sense with cuffed jeans for a night at the movies, or with the perfect shift dress for a big presentation. Articles of clothes that are naturally staples are always a win and I have found that to be the case with my Audrey Brooke shoes!
A few weeks before starting my current job, my mother-in-law and I were cruising the aisles of DSW and I picked up the shoes. I had always noticed them, liking the way they looked, but the price was still a little high for me ($60 price range), when I already had a ton of colors in the Steve Madden flats. But then my mother-in-law said she was treating, so it was a perfect time to give them a whirl. Well – that was 18 months ago and I am still 100% in love!
In addition to going with everything – and I mean EVERYTHING, including my PJ pants to walk the dog on Saturday morning – they fit so well. They are really soft and contour to my foot so they feel amazing. I can walk and walk and walk without any issues in my legs or lower back, and the color is soft so it easily goes with everything. These shoes have been a favorite buy and I have worn them into the ground! So I actually planned to replace them this week (prior to my big work meeting and since I wear them at least 3 times a week, they do get a little worn), BUT they are sold out EVERYWHERE online. YIKES! I am going to pop by DSW on the way home from work tomorrow to see if maybe it was just their stock for online. My only worry is – they are appearing hard to find on a lot of websites – perhaps they have officially run out! So I will let you know – but I did originally buy mine at DSW, and may be buying a new style there if my current ones are officially sold out.
So if you are in the market for a great pair of flats that will appear polished, stylish and are like walking on pillows- I highly recommend Audrey Brooke for your flat needs!
