Have A Little Faith in We

My name is Jackie Bessette and I am a Catholic, a mom, a puppy mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend, an association professional and this is my blog.

In 2014 I started writing to capture the story of life and how so much of it was built on the weaving together of little moments of ordinary that end up being the extraordinary. As I grew to love the process I moved to this blog to continue to collect the snapshots of our world, but it also turned into a place I came to work things out. As I walked through life the blog was a way for me to tell the story, while also telling another story… the one I was working out in my head and heart. Writing has been powerful.

Life has taken me on the most unexpected roads through incredible miracles, intense grief, surprising success, and growth that has made the journey both unique and its very own version of beautiful, even through the mess. In fact it is that beauty that somehow always find a way to peak through and calls me to write. Pausing to capture the little moments, or taking the time to explore the lessons, is just an incredible reminder that life is a gift from our Lord. God works in such mysterious ways, we have to be sure to observe and don’t miss what he is really speaking into our lives.

Over the past few years I have done my best to stop seeing life as it “should be” and instead see it as God’s creation. We don’t always know where we are going, but we know this story is being authored by our Father whose love is immeasurable and gifts are all we truly need. My blog is first and foremost a reminder to myself and my loved ones of how my story can reflect that truth. The blessing of having others here is an incredible bonus.

Here in my little corner of the internet you will find the memories I capture of my little lady Shannon, adventures with us and our puppy dog Oliver, my pondering about life, my journey in faith, some history, and all the little things I have come to find deserve a place in our story.
